Life Update: I will join Meta as a research scientist in early 2025.
I am a Ph.D. Candidate at Washington State University. I am very fortunate to work under the supervision of Prof. Jana Doppa. Previously, I was a Machine Learning Engineer intern at Meta.
My general research interests are in machine learning (ML) and sequential decision-making under uncertainty with applications to real-world problems in engineering and scientific domains. My current research focuses on developing fast and effective Bayesian Optimization (BO) methods and applying them to real-world problems to optimize Hydrogen adsorbtion in metal-organic frameworks, accelerating hardware design, and 3D printing of biomedical structures.
I received my B.Sc. in computer science from Sharif University of Technology, Tehran, Iran.
